Vice President visited Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum in Itanagar, Lauds it as one of the best ethnographic museums in the country

ITANAGAR:  The Vice-Presiden of India Venkaiah Naidu arrived in Itanagar on the 8th of October, he is on his two-day visit to the state.

Why in the News?

The Vice President was accompanied by the HCM Pema Khandu for a visit to the Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum in Itanagar, Therein Vice President Naidu applauded the rich conservation of the culture and lauded Lauds it as one of the best ethnographic museums in the country.

Having sighted the beauty of the preserved artifacts and culture the Vice President, called upon government organizations and private sector institutions to support the artisans of the country in marketing and selling their products in India and abroad.

Naidu expressed that, "The biggest challenge to our talented artisans is the non-availability of marketing opportunities, in fact museums, government buildings, and large institutions should consider opening shops in their premises, thus providing opportunities to artisans to sell their products"
