Chandrayaan-3 on August 23 successfully landed on the moon surface following which PM Modi announced that the point on the Moon where the Chandrayaan-3 lander Vikram soft-landed will be named ‘Shiv Shakti’ and the spot where the Chandrayaan-2 crash-landed will be called ‘Tiranga’.

Days after the successful historic landing and PM Modi's naming of the two places, national president of All India Hindu Mahasabha, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj  through a letter addressed to PM Modi appealed to pass a a resolution in the Parliament to declare the Moon as Hindu Sanatan Rashtra.

He added that 'Shiv Shakti point', where Chandrayaan-3 landed on the Moon, should be declared as the capital of the Hindu Rashtra.

Sharing a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj said the Indian government should “act quickly so that no terrorists can reach the Moon”.

Following the video was posted which reached many users, the seer received massive backlash from the netizens.

A user wrote, “To call this proposal childish would be the least insult. We will call this only madness and non-Hindu proposal."

Another user wrote, "Such people are the ones who promote casteism and terrorism in the country; strict action should be taken against them".
