SHILLONG: Explosives Recovered and Seized amidst the Tense & strained situation
The Correspondent of the SPACE in Shillong reported, "Vehicle with the registration no AS-01/BV-8065 was found with eye-catching explosive items. It was around 12:50 am on receiving specific input a Naka checking was set up on the National Highway near the Byrnihat Police outpost in the district of Ribhoi, Meghalaya, and at around 01:10 AM one Mahindra TUV with the aforesaid registration number was detected carrying some explosives.
On thorough checking inside the vehicle, a huge quantity of explosives were recovered from the vehicle. The explosives along with the vehicle have been seized by the police and the driver of the vehicle namely Shri Moynul Hoque S/O Abdul Goni of Nagarbera, Kamrup, Assam was arrested.
