East Siang district cries for attention again, From the aberrant mud-slides in the Sirki area, disruption of the smooth connectivity to the adjoining regions, and now to the erosion of the embankment beside the Mighty Siang river has caused distress among the denizens of East Siang district.

The team SPACE had a telephonic conversation with their source in Pasighat and it was confirmed that the river water is alarmingly degrading the embankment of the river constructed several years ago, The Gabion along the embankment of the Siang river has been reported to be weakened leading to unprecedented erosion of the gabions.

Sources informed that the embankment has not been properly maintained hitherto causing immense loss of land due to increasing water levels.
