Female journalist who interviewed Taliban flees country
INTERNATIONAL: Beheshta Arghand, an anchor for Tolo News, made headlines when she interviewed the Taliban just days after they took control of Afghanistan. Two weeks later, she has fled the country amid fears for her life. During her interview with the BBC, she stated "Many others have left Afghanistan, and I am so unhappy because new generation had worked really hard for the better Afghanistan and I really miss my job.
Beheshta further stated that she would love to back to her country if the Taliban changed their governance policy wherein the women would have the right to perform equally in the progressive society.
