ITANAGAR: The 1st September seems to have brought a sigh of relief for the daily commuters of ICR, especially for the emergency vehicles that fight for life in the dark hours and the emergency inter-district travellers who have to reach their destination pertaining to personal reasons.

Deputy Commissioner Shri Talo Potom inaugurated the fuel depot along with District Food and civil supply officer Shri Amit Bengia.

Potom  stated, "From today the concern fuel depot will remain open for 24 hours in all days, and the for the security reason IRBN personal shall be stationed"

Potom further explained that the fuel depot has always been for the public but some miscreants create nuisance over the fuel stations leading the administration to close down the depot around 6:00 PM, to avoid law and order problem, but with the series of grievances and discussion, the administration has sought for finally opening the very old two fuel depot, one each in the twin capital for 24/7 service, viz capital Petrol pump in the vicinity of the underpass road and other one being the Rajdhani Petrol pump at Naharlagun A-sector.
