Chayang Tajo Area Development Committee demands completion of road by this winter
ITANAGAR: The representatives from the Chayang Tajo Area Development Committee (CTADC) on 25th September 2021, demanded that the Seppa-Chayang Tajo NEC road in East Kameng district ought to be completed within the winter season since it is causing hindrance for the commuters.

CTADC general secretary Kaniang Bagang expressed that “The people of Chayang Tajo, Bameng, Khenewa, Lada, Sawa and Gyawepurang circles are dismayed and distressed with such slow pace of work on the Seppa-Chayang Tajo NEC road,”
"On the government's record the said road is 81 Km, however, that's not the reality on the ground "stated Bagang. He also added that he has no idea of whosoever has gobbled up the fund but what's important is that the road ought to be ready.
"We have given the information on the Seppa to Chayangtajo road to many officials like CS,NES, ANSU. etc, Now if the government doesn't take any further steps, The God only knows" Stated Bagang.
This road is the lifeline for the people residing in the aforesaid circles. Therefore, we on behalf of the general public of the areas wants the government to complete the road by this winter,” he added. Bagang expressed that the winter is one of the best seasons to construct the road and the excuses won't work.
Bagang expressed despondency pertaining to the interference of various trading licenses when the agreement was signed between PWD and Gammon India Ltd leading to delay of the work.
The CTADC also demanded strict action against “the absentee officials posted in Chayang Tajo,” claiming that absenteeism of administrative officers and HoDs has been causing much hardship to the people of the area in getting their official works done.
