The Inaugural Women's Premier League 2023 which is all set to commence on March 4 is giving away free entry for women and girls on a first come and first serve basis to watch the WPL tournament.

Not just the women, the tickets for men are also nominally priced i.e., between Rs 100 to 400 for a single ticket.

The WPL tickets which are almost sold out can be purchased from BookMyShow - the BCCI's official ticketing partner.

According to the report, the move announced by BCCI is aimed to increase the number of fans/supporters for women's cricket in India.

The first edition of the WPL will feature five teams who will play 22 matches. The Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and UP Warriorz are the five teams who will play in the inaugural WPL.

The opening match is between the Adani Group-owned Gujarat Giants and Reliance Industries-owned Mumbai Indians and will take place at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium.

The tournament will be held from March 4 to 26, 2023 in Mumbai at the Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium.

Bollywood stars Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani and popular singer AP Dhillon will perform in the grand opening ceremony of the WPL 2023.

The WPL T20 series will be streamed live on the Jio Cinema app and the Sports18 Network for free.
