Woman orders Apple Watch from Amazon, receives fake 'FitLife' watch.
In the era of ordering everything online, we often come across news where people order something and receive something else.
In a very similar incident, a Twitter user named Sanaya was scammed while purchasing an Apple watch from Amazon.
Taking to her Twitter account, Sanaya shared that instead of receiving the Apple watch which she ordered on July 8 for Rs 50,900, she received a fake 'FitLife' watch on July 9.
Sanaya contacted Amazon for a refund but despite contacting the e-commerce site, the issue remains unresolved.
"NEVER ORDER FROM AMAZON!!! I ordered an @Apple watch series 8 from @amazon on 8th July. However, on the 9th I received a fake 'FitLife' watch. Despite several calls, @AmazonHelp refuses to budge. Refer to the pictures for more details. Get this resolved ASAP," wrote Sanaya on her Twitter where she also shared pictures of her order on Amazon and the product she received.
Following her tweet, the post was shared and has 1 million views till date and over 7,000 likes, mostly criticising online portals.
In another post, Sanaya wrote that many people have been scammed by Amazon lately and most of the people who got scammed pointed fingers at Amazon's own seller, Appario Retail Pvt Ltd.
Amazon Help replied to her post and wrote, "We apologize for the inconvenience you've had with your order. Please reach out to us via DM. We will do our best to assist. Further, please don’t provide your order/account details over DM as we consider them to be personal information."
