Students  from VKV yet again flagged the milestone  to  shine in the 29th state-level National Children’s Science Congress

STATE: The State Level National Children's Science Congress concluded successfully wherein the students from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya took the top positions to have made their way for the National Children's Science Congress scheduled in the month of December. Eight out of 10 Project presented by the VKC students has been selected for the said. Science & Tech Secretary Ajay Chagti highlighted the importance of NCSC to the school students. The two-day event was held at IG Park, Itanagar.

The two-day-long State-Level National Children's Science Congress started from the 12th of November to the 13th of November, wherein a total of 78 students participated in the NCSC informed__Kayum Saha(MediaExecutive PR/ S&C). However, as many as 67 out of the 73 registered projects were presented by the selected child scientists from 25 districts, including the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).

The SPACE was further informed that the top 10 schools were selected for the NCSC to be held in the month of December.

8 VKVs from East Kameng, Capital Complex, Lohit, Lower Subansiri, and Anjaw were adjudged in the Top 10 list whereas two R.K Mission from West Siang and West Kameng also made their place in the list respectively.

The Students whose projects have been selected, along with their project titles  are:

1)Minu Tayem (Social innovation for social live) of VKV Wessang, East Kameng;

2)Kheyiim Dususow (Care plants – Care our planet) of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Girls’ School, Khasso, West Kameng;

3)Vidya Sah (Understand the ecosystem service of kitchen garden and how it is contributing to the livelihood and sustenance of a family) of VKV Vivek Vihar, ICR;

4) Sonam Chodan (Understanding human impact on the different ecosystem) of VKV Tezu, Lohit;

5) Nangram Anu (My plants, my life) of VKV Nirjuli, ICR;

6) Heri Umpi (Rice based cosmetics) of VKV Ziro, Lower Subansiri;

7) Jummin Ete (Aqua-terrace) of Rama Krishna Mission, Aalo, West Siang;

8) Mai Mama (Organic liquid fertilizer from green kitchen waste to nourish plants in just 2 minutes) of VKV Joram, Lower Subansiri;

9)Bengia Ama (Traditional knowledge system of Coptis Teeta for a sustainable living) of VKV Chimpu, Itanagar; and

10)Bisen Bellai (Exploring traditional fermented food of Mishmi community and its nutritional value) of VKV Amliang, Anjaw, according to an APSCS&T release. (Source:Kayum Saha(MediaExecutive PR/ S&C)
