State  VAT reduced announced HCM Pema Khandu after Central's move to cut excise duty on Petrol and Diesel
STATE: Lately, on Thursday HCM Pema Khandu on his social media handle announced the reduction of the state's VAT which didn't appear this morning when the SPACE had reported on the Central's move on the reduction of excise duty on the petrol & diesel.

On the 3rd of November, the Centre's decision to lower the Fuel prices on the occasion of Diwali aired remarkably." especially in the NDA led government, however, the state of Arunachal Pradesh didn't respond to it on the eve of Diwali. The citizens in the Itanagar Capital Region kept awaiting a response from the state government to act further on the centre's decision to cut duties on the fuel price.

In the morning hour, the  SPACE had an exclusive interview with the Rajdhani Indian oil Depot, Naharlagun, and was informed that the depot in the ICR had received the notification to lower the price on Thursday morning at 6:00 am, dated 4th November 2021.

Marketing Officer Nabin Tagey also explained the VAT and the state's prevailing condition on the fuel price, wherein the state government didn't seem to have pondered upon reduction on its VAT.

Lately, on Thursday evening HCM Pema Khandu was seen announcing the reduction of VAT on Petrol from existing 20% to 14.5% and Diesel from 12.5% to 7%.

"With the Central and State Govt decisions, Petrol will now be Rs. 91.87 per litre and Diesel Rs. 79.83 per litre in the State with effect from 12:00 AM of 5th Nov 2021"___added HCM on his Post.
Further, he expressed that, "Consumers will be benefitted by Rs.10.20 per litre in Petrol and Rs.15.22 per litre in Diesel after the relief given both by Centre and State Govt"
REACTIONS FROM THE PUBLIC

Abruptly after HCM Khandu's tweet on reduction of VAT, the people were seen commenting__ "Let's see how long it will last, maybe raise after results of the election. Hope not to raise again."
and some went stating, "It's not enough 4 we poor peoples".
Many supporters were also seen praising Khandu's stand with his party's move and adhering to it.
There were also reactions like "this is just an eyewash".

However, the Central Government's may not have reached the expectation of the people but the deduction in the fuel price has brought in a sigh of relief among the consumers.
