Yash Raj Films on Tuesday announced that Pathaan crossed Rs 1000 crore mark at the gross worldwide box office collection.

The Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer bollywood movie which released on January 25 have earlier created history on the very first day as it collected over Rs 100 crore a the global box office.

According to YRF, Pathaan is the first Hindi film to breach Rs 1000 crore worldwide barrier during the first phase of its release. In India, it has collected Rs 623 crore so far at the box office while globally; it has collected Rs 377 crore.

The movie is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films and its SRK’s comeback movie after a gap of four years. His last movie was 2018’s Zero.

The plot of the movie, Pathaan is similar to old spy action movie. There’s no newness in the story. Hence, audience’s review in terms of the film’s story is very poor.

Pathaan is a spy action movie which depicts the story of an exiled RAW agent played by Shah Rukh Khan who is assigned to take down a private terrorist group, Outfit X, preparing for a nuclear attack on India. While Deepika Padukone plays an ISI spy and John Abraham plays a former RAW agent who is plotting the nuclear attack as part of his revenge plan.

According to the reviews, most of the people are watching because of “SRK” and due to the controversies the movie faced in the past few months post the trailer and release of the song, Besharam Rang. One of the best parts of the movie is the cameo by Salman Khan that has been loved most by the audiences.

This YRF movie is fourth in number in terms of the Spy movies. Former spy movies were Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer “Ek Tha Tiger”, “Tiger Zinda Hai” and Hrithik Roshan, Toger Shroff starrer movie, “War”.

Other Bollywood films that crossed the 1000 crore mark at the global box office are “Dangal”, “Bahubali 2: The Conclusion”, “RRR” and “K.G.F: Chapter 2.”
