Save Arunachal Save Indigenous (SASI) retaliates on three Points:

Save Arunachal Save Indigenous (SASI) on the press conference placed their detailed clauses of demands pertaining to :

1. Passing of  a private member Resolution at state Assembly for  revamping/re amending Article 371-H of the Indian Constitution granted to our state and to its people and work to get it passed/ amended in the Parliament to bring in par with  371(A) and 371(G):

Vice-Chairman SAS, Advocate Shri Romjir Rakshap clarified the need of re-amending the Article 371-H of the constitution, he stated "The Sixth Schedule which applies to the Tribal Areas of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram, provides for autonomy in the administration of these areas through Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) and the Regional Councils empowered to make laws in respect of areas under their jurisdiction, but some pockets like Chakma autonomous council gets the benefits out of this, therefore, focussing on the sixth schedule alone won't be fruitful for the future of Arunachal Pradesh, Romjir further stated the need of  371(H) be brought in par with Article 371(A) of Nagaland and Article 371(G) of Mizoram, since a special provisions are being granted to the tribal state of Nagaland and Mizoram in regards to freedom of Religious  practice, social practice, Land Rights, customary Law, etc  whereas no act of Parliament can interfere with their tribal practice whereas the state of Arunachal Pradesh has not been given such protection even after being a fully tribal-dominated region.

Romjir further highlighted "we are not just a state with tribal demography but an endangered indigenous community, hence we deserve the constitutional protection, our customary laws needs protection, our culture and tradition needs attention.

2.suspension of personnel / paramilitary force engaged in Bribe pertaining to ILP, (Inner Line Permit)

SASI also advocated for the suspension of those personnel and paramilitary forces who indulge in bribery pertaining to the illegal entry of the Outsiders and further contributing to the burgeoning problems of the state.

3.Suspension of Marriage & Inheritance Bill 2021

SASI Vice-Chairman further entitled the recent Marriage and inheritance bill as a "Random act" by stating, "that customary law and certain social practices adopted by the tribal communities residing in the state already exist and the aforesaid bill would simply resort to restrictions on the age-old customary law practices in the state.

Moreover the rights given in the section 44 of the bill which gives Rights to the APST women marrying Non- APST men to own immovable ancestral property till her life is very objectionable as this is an indirect granting of PRC to the outsiders. Further section 45 talks of APST women married to Non-APST men on inheritance to immovable property owned and acquired by APST women, here in case of the death of the woman her husband and her heirs would have the full rights of it for disposal and alienation to any indigenous tribe of Arunachal Pradesh.  Romjir stated the bill is found to be with plenty of lacuna and loopholes, he further went on to say "If this bill becomes an act it will directly give a pathway to outsiders to lure or marry APST women and enjoy indirect land rights"
