The Prime Minister on Tuesday while addressing the party workers on the second & final day of BJP's National Executive Meeting held in New Delhi asks the workers/members to avoid unnecessary comments on Bollywood or movies.

PM Modi told its party workers and leaders to refrain from making "unnecessary remarks" on irrelevant issues like movies.

PM Modi stated while doing so it overshadows all the hard work the party does for the development of the country.

He says, sometimes some party workers or leaders comment on a movie and the entire narrative changes.

According to reports, the PM said that when someone comments on irrelevant topics such as movies, the party's focus on bigger issues or the party's development agenda is left behind.

In recent times, we have come across such news where we see BJP's leader or part workers have directly or indirectly commented on Bollywood movies.

The latest one on the news is the upcoming Bollywood movie Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone where we have seen several BJP leaders have commented on the movie's song, Besharam Rang.

Madhya Pradesh's minister Narottam Mishra just after the release of the song, commented on Deepika's attire and the color of the costume, which is saffron. Many right wing activists and leaders, workers said that the song "hurts religious sentiments", its objectionable and that it should be rectified.

Another one, Paramhans Acharya, a seer from Ayodhya made a shocking statement right after stating he will burn Shah Rukh Khan alive.

He said, "Today we burnt his posters. The movie Pathaan has insulted the saffron colour. If I find jihadi Shah Rukh Khan anywhere, I will burn him alive. "

When reporters asked Mishra about PM Modi's speech at the NECNEC where he apparently commented that a minister keeps commenting on films, the Minister said no name was taken.

"His every word and every sentence is important to us. That's why all the workers have brought inspiration from there. Our conduct and behavior have been filled with their guidance and energy, and will continue to be filled," Mishra told the reporters.  

Last year, in October, Mishra commented on the movie, Adipurush's portrayal of Hindu deities.

He raised questions over the portrayal of Hindu deities Hanuman, Sita and Ravan in the teaser of Adipurush.

"In our religious texts, the attire of Hanuman ji is clearly described. Instead, the teaser shows him wearing a leather outfit. His skin is shown dark instead of red. We believe whatever is written in our texts is correct," Narottam Mishra said while speaking to India Today TV.

"Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, president of the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA), said that PM Modi’s speech is a “big boost of confidence” for the Hindi film industry, which has been fighting a perception battle," as reported by the Indian Express.
