Arunachal Pradesh also called the Land of the rising sun is a breathtakingly beautiful place, known for its luscious greenery pollution-free environment, snow-capped mountains, and monasteries and, for a lot of other things like the historical monuments or sites in the region.

So when one visits Arunachal Pradesh, they never fail to visit these places. And one such place where we often find tourists, is the Itafort of Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh which has a historical significance. But this historical significance and a major tourist attraction site is currently in a state of utter negligence.

According to a tourist who spoke to The Space, the archaeological site due to lack of strict security measures and maintenance by the concerned authorities, has turned into a hotspot for drinking and smoking rather than a tourist spot. The place was also covered with trash and wild bushes everywhere. In fact, a huge pile of trash could be seen dumped in one of the corners of the site.
