ITW continues its Indefinite Strike on two charters of Demand: DC Capital calls it Illegal and for any unlawful event ITWs will be held responsible.

WHY IN THE NEWS?
The ITWs(Itanagar Traffic Wardens) launched their Indefinite Strike on two crucial demands before the state government at the IG Park.
1. Immediate full-fledged induction of ITWs into traffic cell Itanagar, as per the written assurance given on 22nd January 2017 by the then Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh
2. Immediate fulfillment of the Cabinet note on 13th March 2015 which was made by the Principal Secretary Home for Creation of regular Itanagar Traffic Warden into Home Department.
CURRENT STATUS AS ON 26TH AUGUST 2020
The ITWs have continued their indefinite strike at Tennis Court in IG Park chanting the slogans, "Nahi chalega .Nahi Chalega Use and throw Nahi Chalega"
On Interrogated by Team SPACE Reporter Miss Jumni Kamki, "Have you got any response from the government?", The ITW personal stated they have not yet received any response from the higher authorities hitherto although it should have been responded by now. The ITWs personals are filled with despondency and they are perplexed on why the state government has not even heeded their crucial key demands, even after their submission of memorandums in the department.
The ITW personal stated,"Abh tak hume response nahi milne ka karan hum yehi esa uttarke ana par raha hain, yeh baat nahi hain ki humlog duty karne man nahi hain, aap log ke karan ,majburan hume duty chorke yaha esa uttarna parahahe"
Kamki also interviewed the Capital Deputy Commissioner Shri.Talo Potom on the stand of administration pertaining to the ongoing Indefinite Strike by the ITWs.
The DC capital briefed the SPACE reporter that, "Hitherto there has been no creation of Itanagar Traffic cell henceforth the first demand of the ITWs stands invalid"
Potom further clarified the second demand BY stating, " The present Traffic warden was created by me under the department of administration to ease the burden of Traffic Police in the management of traffic within ICR. The original name of the ITWs was Traffic Volunteers, which means personal rendering duty on a daily wage basis, therefore a volunteer nowhere means a person in service since they rendered there duty on daily wage basis.
