Astonishing and baffling news came to the limelight when an Arunachalee vlogger named Miss Geyem Jijong and Vicky Borang uploaded a video, which exhibited a leaf that has transformed completely into a hard rock. The talks of this amazing news went viral on social media exposing a sense of mystery among the citizens of the state. The team SPACE had a telephonic conversation with a YouTuber cum Founder of an NGO viz Yingkiong youth welfare Association Shri Shaan Jijong, where the story was unraveled.

It is situated in  Simong , an Adi village which is approximately 10km from Yingkiong , the headquarter of  Upper Siang District, and the exact location where the vlogger discovered the mysterious hard leaf is called "Ane Kone".For ages, the locals believed the place was a bad omen, especially for the outsiders, they believed that the spirits who dwell in the location didn't like the entry of the outsiders. 

Does the spirit really dwell in Ane-kone or it has some scientific phenomena? 

The team SPACE dived in to decipher the mystery behind the strange transformation of a leaf into a stone and found that such a similar occurrence had also been seen in the other parts of the world as well. The Petrifying Well in North Yorkshire is one such example, it has attracted a solid number of visitors for years, all of them eager to see a bizarre process of objects being turned to stone. The reason behind it was found to be the high mineral content in the water drop.

The "Ane-Kone" of simong village has now come to attention, it can be of importance with respect to the tourist destination and the state's tourism exploration as well. On further digging into the story, the team SPACE had a conversation with the President of Yingkiong youth welfare Association Shri Lorik Miyu who strengthened the exist of Ane-Kone,  Miyu also mentioned the name Ringom Libang who is supposed to be the first person to visit and make a video on the aforesaid mysterious place, however more research is awaited.
