The Spiritual leader Dalai Lama after a video of him has gone viral where he is seen planting a kiss on the boy's lips and asks the child to suck his tongue and following which netizens call his act as "inappropriate", “creepy”, “disgusting” etc, has now issued a statement apologizing for his bizzare request.

While some even claimed it to be a case of pedophilia and accordingly demanded arrest of the "Spiritual leader".

The statement read, “His holiness wishes to apologise to the boy and his family as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused.

“His holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras. He regrets the incident.”

Reportedly, the incident took place in late February at the Dalai Lama's temple in Dharamshala and was attended by about 100 young students who had just graduated from the Indian M3M Foundation.

The Spiritual leader has faced similar controversies back in 2019 after he suggested that if the Dalai Lama returned as a woman "she should be more attractive".
