Changlang district to avail benefits under PM's
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the "Mission Primer" project with a view to improve the quality of education in LPDs (low performing districts) in school education within a prescribed period. As a part of it, National Achievement Survey was conducted.

According to the assessment,  Changlang district from Arunachal Pradesh was one of the 8 LPDs in the country. Though the scheme is monitored by the central government, it calls for the coordination from district administration and the education department.

Hence, under the chairmanship of ADC Ibom Tao (APCS) a meeting was conducted at ADC office Jairampur on 22/03/2022, attended by the administrators and officials from education department of Jairampur sub-division.

HIGHLIGHTS ON AIMS OF MISSION PRIMER

The project aims at re - structuring of SMC of all schools i.e, identification of zero enrollment schools and low enrollment schools, re - starting of ECCE (early childhood care and education), attachment of Aganwadi centre with govt. primary schools and ECCE for effective foundation of literacy and numeracy in pre-primary schooling, introduction of maintaining a casual leave for the teachers and school authorities, keeping record of non - reporting and proxy teachers, introduction of residential schools.

All the sub-divisions of Changlang district shall organise meeting under "Mission Primer", this project shall be further executed under the guidance of the Deputy Director of School Education and Deputy Commissioner of Changlang district.
