Avantika Haflongbar and Kabyashree Deka from Assam selected for Kolkata auditions of MasterChef India 8.

We all have seen Assam's Nayanjyoti Saikia shine in the popular culinary show MasterChef India 7. 

Nayanjyoti started the journey of MasterChef India 7 along with 35 other contestants until he won the show with a winning prize money of ₹ 25 lakh.

And now it's time for season 8, and yet again, two Assam women, Digital creator/ food vlogger Kabyashree Deka from Guwahati and entrepreneur Avantika Haflongbar popularly known as Roohi Haflongbar from Haflong, Dima Hasao have been selected for the Kolkata auditions of the popular culinary show, MasterChef India 8.

Both have cleared the initial auditions i.e., first two rounds of auditions held at Guwahati, Assam

One of the two, Kabyashree Deka confirmed the same on her Instagram story.

“Since most of you know I went for the Masterchef Audition in Guwahati & I had cleared the 2 rounds of the Guwahati Audition. I am selected for the Kolkata Round of Auditions & will be there,” she said.

While Avantika Haflongbar announced the news on her Instagram account by asking her followers if she could find a place with an attached kitchen. 

She wrote, “Hi Insta family members from Kolkata! So I will be in the city for MasterChef India’s 2nd round of auditions and I needed a place to stay with a kitchen. Any Airbnb/Homestay suggestion?”

MasterChef India's quest for the next cooking champion of India has already begun and this time, whether you are a home cook or someone who simply loves experimenting in the kitchen, MasterChef India is the right place for you.

MasterChef India’s released an official statement where it said, “Whether you are a home cook or someone who simply loves experimenting in the kitchen, MasterChef India welcomes everyone with a passion for food."

Once again chef Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna will be seen as the judges of the show. However, the third judge is still not confirmed. 

The dates and timing of the show are not confirmed as well.
