9 years of Modi govt: Congress President accuses BJP, says BJP did nothing but brought issues such as inflation and looted the public.
The Congress President, Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday in his Twitter attacks the BJP government following the 9th year anniversary of Modi led BJP government on Friday, May 26.
Kharge took to Twitter and stated that the nine years of BJP's power over the nation had done nothing but brought issues such as "deadly inflation" and "looted the public's earnings".
The Congress accused BJP of "spoiled budget" and a "difficult life".
"With deadly inflation in nine years, the BJP looted the public's earnings! GST impacted everything important, spoiled the budget, made life difficult!" Kharge said in a tweet in Hindi.
He added that the ruling party makes arrogant claims about controlling rising prices.
"Arrogant claims -- 'inflation is not visible' or 'we do not eat this expensive thing at all'. Journey from 'Acche Din' to 'Amrit Kaal', due to inflation, the amount of public loot has increased!" Kharge further tweeted.
On Friday, the Congress posed a set of nine questions where it mentioned BJP government's 9 years of failure issues starting from economy to farmers, corruption to democracy and national security etc.
On the same day, the opposition party also released a document titled, "9 saal, 9 sawaal" meaning "9 years, 9 questions."
"On the completion of nine years of the Modi government, the Congress party wants to ask 9 questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
We are also releasing a document for the same '9 saal 9 sawaal'," Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said while addressing a press conference on Friday.
The Congress, in another tweet, shared the nine questions and said that the Prime Minister "must respond to these nine questions before the BJP begins to celebrate".
"Why are inflation and unemployment skyrocketing in India? Why have the rich become richer and the poor become poorer? Why is public property being sold to PM Modi's friends, even as economic disparities are increasing?" the document's first question read under the 'The Economy' category.
Similarly it had questions regarding the agriculture and farmers, corruption and cronyism, China and National Security, Social Harmony, Social Justice, Democracy and Federalism, Welfare Schemes, and lastly, Covid-19 mismanagement.
The Modi led BJP government took birth the day Narendra Modi was sworn in for the first time as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014. The PM took oath at the office for the second term on May 30, 2019.
